What is Electrolysis?
Unlike laser, which relies on pigment, electrolysis delivers energy directly to individual hair follicles, so it can treat hair colours that laser does not.
Who is it for? White, grey, blonde or very light hair, individual stubborn hairs and small areas such as the chin, upper lip and brows — including hairs remaining after laser.
- Session time
- 15–60 minutes
- Sessions
- Several, depending on the number of hairs
- Downtime
- Mild redness for hours
- Results
- Permanent removal of treated follicles
Ideal for
- White, grey and very light hair
- Individual stubborn hairs
- Chin, jawline, upper lip, sideburns and neck
- Remaining hairs after laser
What to expect
A very fine probe is placed into each follicle and a small amount of energy is applied. You may feel a brief sting or warmth. Because each hair is treated individually, sessions suit small areas and repeat visits catch hairs in different growth phases.
Aftercare
- Keep the area clean and avoid touching it
- Avoid make-up and heat for 24 hours

Most people feel a quick sting per hair; it is well tolerated on small areas.
Can it be used on the face?
Yes — the chin, upper lip, jawline, sideburns and neck are common areas.
